The idea of the BFIT app is providing the tool to make that information even more readily available, no longer requiring players to come to special events or spending money on expensive launch monitors.

But if you want something cheaper, smaller and even more portable, FlighScope has just introduced the FlightScope Mevo, which pairs with your phone. It measures ball speed, club speed, smash factor, vertical launch angle, carry distance and spin rate.
The new version easily allows any form of golf driver, iron and wedge club fitting session. Club, players and balls can be added and removed from the same session to build a true picture of performance. Once finished, the full session contents can be emailed for further analysis.
You'll also be able to see your launch angle, which will determine how high the ball will fly once it's in the air. A ball hit hard and at a good angle will get you to the green in fewer strokes (which, of course, will put more pressure on you not to choke on that putt). If you're hitting the ball too high or too low, the monitor will reveal it, and then it's up to you to correct it.
